Meet the band

Keef Trouble was a founding member of Brett Marvin and the Thunderbolts and played in Terry Dactyl and the Dinosaurs.
He wrote the words to Jona Lewie’s“Kitchen at Parties” and has penned many other songs performed by Okee Dokee. Keef plays guitar and his famous Zob Stick.
Dave Toye is a guitarist and songwriter Dave has a long connection with the folk scene. His songs have been used by folk artists including Damien Barber, Gordon Bok. and Martyn Wyndham-Read, and several are in the Okee Dokee repertoire. Dave also plays the banjo.
 
Will Lewis  stepped in at short notice to help us out at Broadstairs Festival in 2014 and has remained ever since. Will plays with 'The Toons', and is lead singer and guitarist with 'Them Again' rock covers band.
Will plays Cajon and other assorted percussion with Okee Dokee, and sings.
Dick Streeter joined Okee Dokee when
John suggested forming a band for Broadstairs Folk Week  "Not knowing at
the time who was in the band or what we would be playing, they still booked us!"
Dick also calls and plays bass for Bonabrill
Barndance Band and has a long
association with Horsham Folk Club and
Broadwood Morris Men. Dick plays bass guitar, whistle, sings and has written several of the Okee Dokee songs.
John Dewdney sings, and plays accordion, concertina and banjo. He is solvent, footloose and fancy free.
Phil Gravett sings, and plays guitar and mandolin. He is an avid fresh-water angler, and a boffin who builds minature steam engines.
Phil enjoys Blue Beat, Ska, and Django
Reinhardt. Each year, if he can make it, he
plays at the Django Reinhardt Festival in
Samois-sur-Seine, France. Phil is also a member of Taylor Maid, a function band, Hotpot, a country blues / swing trio and Rattlebag, a traditional world music trio.
Mel Stevens plays Chromatic button accordion and C Melody saxophone with Okee Dokee, and has written a number of their songs. Mel also plays with the French dance band Tonik.
